The Hampton Soul Festival Workshop

Created by Jessica Holter, Ascension Art Collective, and supporting members of The HIP Team. The Hampton Soul Festival Workshop is an 8-week program with results measurable by The Hampton Soul Fest and film documentation.

This shadow program works with young adults who have recently aged out of foster care, registered college students, recent college graduates, and emerging artists with interests and talents in music, film, visual art, and public service productions. Our robust curriculum includes but is not limited to, personal wellness, sound healing, confidence coaching, outdoor production preparedness, original music score development, music business, band formations, vocal coaching, set design, and video documentation.

As Artist-in-Resident at Wiggin's artist haven, Electric Church, located in unincorporated Hampton, our self-management and efficacy program ensures that participants are not only paid fair wages, but also that communication, teamwork, commitment, accountability, business, and music skills development are impactful rewards of participation.
